The SatADSL product for radios
SatADSL has developed a system to make the radio broadcasting via satellite simpler to use, faster to implement, more reliable and less expensive than other techniques like microwaves or optical fibre. This is thanks to multicasting technology, that allows SatADSL to broadcast the same information simultaneously to a group of terminals.
The implementation of this solution developed by SatADSL for radio broadcasting is very easy: the broadcaster only need to install a standard terminal with a small antenna (1 meter long) and connect a mp3 stream decoder addressed to an FM transmitter.
For the las 15 years, radio broadcasting has been the most widespread media available in Africa. So the satellite broadcasting solution developed by SatADSL can play a huge part in the growing of this sector, which can also be very interesting for educational purposes.
