Platform-as-a-Service in Singapore, Asia

Brussels, Belgium, and Singapore, Singapore, June 27, 2019 – SatADSL, a provider of professional VSAT services via satellite, today announced it has successfully launched a new Point of Presence (PoP) in Singapore as it continues to expand its global footprint.

The additional PoP will replicate SatADSL’s European and African model, giving operators access to SatADSL’s Cloud-based Service Delivery Platform (C-SDP) – which enables operators to offer satellite services via the cloud – without adding extra latency on top of the inherent latency of geostationary satellite communications.

“Based on our deep experience of the African market and taking into account that the Asian market faces similar challenges like vast geographical areas, various users requirements and diverse populations, we are now making our service available to operators based in Asia,” said Thierry Eltges, Co-Founder and CEO at SatADSL. “This will unleash a number of new possibilities including the ability to offer pre-paid voucher-based services and operate as a Virtual Network Operator.”

The Singapore PoP follows SatADSL’s first appearance at CommunicAsia, where it showcased its innovative cloud-based satellite communication solution, the C-SDP.

SatADSL’s C-SDP is a complete OSS/BSS, carrier-grade, fully redundant platform in the cloud which allows operators to easily outsource satellite services with no upfront investment.

“CommunicAsia provided us with an invaluable chance to showcase our first-of-its-kind solution to both the communications industry and the Asian market,” said Eltges. “As we begin to expand our operations in the Asian market, it has been invaluable to receive such an enthusiastic reception as we show local operators what SatADSL can do for them and how we can help improve the profitability of their businesses. Operators can greatly accelerate go-to-market thanks to the complete suite of ready-to-use tools available on our C-SDP at all levels of the value chain.”
