What is the SatADSL service?
SatADSL is a high-performance, reliable IP access service, using Ku-band satellite technology with coverage in more than 35 Sub-Saharan countries. The service is offered through skilled and reputable partner distributors in each country. SatADSL offers instant IP access regardless of geography or location within the coverage area.
How do I know who is an approved SatADSL partner distributor?
SatADSL subscriptions in each country will be offered through highly reputable and experienced partner distributors, all of whom are trained by SatADSL to operate the system effectively. The local partner distributors will handle all customer enquiries, sales, installation and maintenance, billing and customer care. Please contact info@satadsl.net to be directed to the most appropriate appointed SatADSL partners in the countries of interest to you.
Will SatADSL work in my country?
SatADSL uses high-end technology that works consistently regardless of the level of telecommunications infrastructure available in your area. SatADSL services are delivered through the ASTRA-4A satellite operated by SES, the largest satellite operator in the world. Such systems have already been very successful in Europe where there are already more than 100,000 satellite broadband subscribers using the same system.
What is the difference between SatADSL’s broadband service and other terrestrial broadband services?
SatADSL’s service uses satellite technology to provide cost-effective broadband Internet access to subscribers who cannot obtain high quality broadband Internet access by suitable terrestrial services in remote areas. Terrestrial broadband services provide the Internet via fibre, copper, cable and/or wireless. However, SatADSL is independent from terrestrial networks and is therefore ubiquitous and available in any single point in the footprint of the satellite. Our service is also much more reliable and not subject to service interruption as terrestrial services might be.
How much does SatADSL cost?
There are several components of the cost, including the cost of equipment (the satellite dish and modem), installation charges and a monthly subscription charge, plus applicable local taxes. Each service plan has a different price, so please contact SatADSL at info@satadsl.net so we can put you in touch with a local partner distributor in your country to get an accurate price for the service you need.
